Meet your manager

Santa Clarita

1: What got you into bicycles?

I worked at a motorcycle accessories company Answer Products and one of the product managers was into cycling. He hooked up with the inventor of the Manitou suspension forks and we became the manufacturer. The rest is history I dove into cycling 100% and never looked back.

2: What was your first bike?

A really bad Malcolm Smith mountain bike. This was during a time when everyone thought they could make a mountain bike.

3: What gets you out of bed every day?

I am one of the luckiest persons alive. I can ride my bike to work to a job that I love and I have an awesome husband that supports me 100%

4: What is your favorite type of bike riding and why?

. Anything dirt to quote John Muir Of All The Paths You Take In Life Make Sure A Few Of Them Are Dirt. I like escaping cars, people and just being out in the middle of nowhere by myself or with friends.

5: What made you want to be part of Incycle Bicycles?

. Incycle bought the Performance Cyclery store that I worked at as any takeover it could have gone either way. It turns out it was the best thing that could have happened to the store. I like their business model lots of choices and exceptional customer service.

6: Describe your best day on a bike.

Any day is the best day on a bike but I most enjoy a long casual ride with my hubby on my day off that ends with lunch and of course a cold beer!

7: Where do you see the future of Bicycles?

I think cycling is here to stay in a big way. Exercise is the prevention to any viruses and future health issues. To quote Jack LaLanne’s Exercise is King Nutrition is Queen and together you have a Kingdom.  What I have realized most is how unhealthy people are and if we can get more people riding bikes it will improve our overall health so our bodies can do what they do naturally and protect us.

8: How do you support the local cycling community?

I help coach the NICA team, I am a board member for our local Trail Users Association, I work with our local bicycle coalition, I am on the bike path or trails every day so when people come in the shop they see a familiar face that can help with their cycling questions.
